Hey There
I'm Brooke, founder and lead practitioner at Lakeside Massage & Bodywork. I am a life-long learner, wife and mom to two littles. I find so much joy in helping people slow down and connect with their body. I feel grateful to be able to help guide you along your healing journey and hold space for you wherever you are today.
Brooke Minetti CMT, PTA
Dance was a huge part of Brooke's life from a young ago. In high school a very special dance teacher taught her meditation. Through dance is where she started building her conscious awareness of her body and how to sense moment to moment bodily sensations. This awareness helped Brooke to know when she was gripping and when she was relaxed, something we can all learn to do. Dance continues to be an avenue of expression for Brooke to be able to release stuck emotions and tension. Today, Brooke loves a spontaneous "dance party" with her kids, gardening, and biking. On the table, you will likely hear her ask you "what are you noticing in your body now". This helps to build bodily awareness, connection and trust within your body.
Brooke started her clinical practice in 2010 with a focus in therapeutic massage. Since then she has evolved through each training she's taken. Brooke's bodywork is heavily influenced by the late John Barnes "the father of Myofascial Release". Brooke also has a deep appreciation for the more subtle touch of craniosacral therapy where she learned through the Upledger Institute. These techniques work with the fascia, our nervous tissue. The nervous system controls all of our bodies processes including sensation (pain vs safety), integration (conscious & unconscious), bodily functions (heart rate, blood pressure & digestion), stress/relaxation, coordination & movement and our emotions & experience (pain processing). Each session is tailored to the individual to help you reach your goals with the nervous system in mind.
In 2018 Brooke graduated from a Physical Therapist Assistant program to expand her knowledge and treatment. Becoming a PTA has not only allowed Brooke to deepen her understanding of the body and how it moves, but has given her the skills to teach her clients how to prevent injury. She uses her knowledge from PTA school and her clinical and work experiences to educate her clients.

Massage therapy has always felt like a natural extension of who I am. Long before formal training, friends and family would ask for help easing sore backs and tired feet. After years of teaching yoga and offering Reiki in my community, I chose to deepen my studies while completing my B.S. in Wellness and Alternative Medicine and graduating from Green Mountain Massage School in 2016. My background includes Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki training (Levels I, II, and III), and over 16 years of personal yoga and meditation practice, all of which gently inform my grounded, intuitive approach to bodywork.
I believe massage is both therapeutic and restorative — a space where pain can soften, the nervous system can settle, and a deeper connection to the body can unfold. My own experiences with injury and recovery have strengthened my sensitivity to how the body communicates and heals. I work collaboratively and thoughtfully, tailoring each session to support your individual goals, whether that means focused relief, improved mobility, or simply time to rest and reconnect. It is an honor to witness the steady, cumulative benefits that consistent care can bring — greater ease, resilience, and a more rooted sense of well-being.

A third-generation Italian and Canadian Vermonter, I was born in the Northeast Kingdom and spent parts of my early childhood exploring the landscapes of Washington and Arizona before returning home to Vermont for good. Growing up among forests, rivers, and open hills shaped my love for nature, community, and intentional living. I recently relocated my family to the Burlington area and feel grateful to offer my work within such a vibrant and wellness-oriented community.

Kate Williams CMT
Kate was born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom. After spending four years just outside New York City for college, she returned to the Green Mountains and has been here ever since. She grew up with a love of theater, dance, writing, and art. This has translated into a life full of movement and creativity. In addition to being a member of the
dance troupe Leanan Sidhe, she has a black belt in kempo jiujitsu. Her career includes forays into the publishing world, puppeteering, and social services. In her free time, she is often found in her garden or traveling with her husband.

Kate’s massage path began 17 years ago, when she received the first massage of her life. She thought to herself, “If the world’s leaders could feel as good as I do right now, there’d be no war.” Six months later, she enrolled in Touchstone Healing Arts’ massage therapy certification program. This was eventually followed by a 200-hour yoga teacher training program, and attunements to Usui Reiki levels I, II, and Master. Kate also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an associate degree in early childhood education. She is a certified level 1 and level 2 instructor for The Safety Team, an empowerment self-defense program for women.
Kate’s approach to each massage session is to meet the client where they’re at in the moment, energetically, physically, and mentally. She believes that healing begins first and foremost through the conversation between body and mind. Her sessions are slow and deliberate, with the intention of soothing the nervous system and quieting the mind. She listens attentively to what your body tells her and adjusts to meet its needs. She believes that through profound relaxation, your body learns that it is in a safe place and healing can begin. She often incorporates aromatherapy, and stationary stones to help balance, soothe, and restore.
